About us
We are The Mayers, a family of six based in Paris, raising neurodivergent children and slowly learning how to open the world to them.

Travel has always been part of our lives as parents.
With our children, it has taken a very different shape.
For a long time, travel felt intimidating, not because we lacked the desire, but because the unknown felt heavier when neurodiversity became part of everyday life. This project was born from that tension.
Learning to travel differently
We haven’t crossed dozens of countries with our children, what we are doing instead is learning how to travel with intention, patience and honesty.
Each step requires preparation, observation and adjustment.
Noise, transitions, routines and emotional safety matter as much as destinations themselves.
This blog documents that process — not from a place of mastery, but from real-life experimentation.
What guides us
Our journey is rooted in strong family values and a faith in Jesus that supports us daily.
It gives us the courage to move forward, even when fear or doubt are present.
It reminds us that growth often begins where comfort ends.
Our faith accompanies our choices, our travels and our reflections.
Why this space exists
This blog is first and foremost for families who want to travel but carry similar questions, hesitations or fears.
It is also a space for educators, inclusion professionals, institutions and brands who wish to understand how environments, services and destinations are experienced by neurodivergent families — especially when families are just beginning that journey.
What we share comes from lived experience, careful observation and time spent learning on the ground.
This space exists to document progress, not perfection.
